Welcome to St Peter’s Church. Part of the North Wakefield Benefice.
We are a Church that puts the local community at the centre of its thoughts. We believe it is vital that everyone connected to us feels part of something truly special, our church is a place they can always be themselves, allowing their faith to flourish and help others within this unique parish.
This ‘everyone counts’ mentality allows for an inclusive feel at every level, from those faces we see regularly to the people who dip in & out of our lives when they need support most.

Sunday Mornings ……
The Mothers' Union is restarting in Stanley! The first meeting will be at St Peter's church at 1.30pm on Thursday 29th January. You don't have to be a mother, or even female, to join. The group will meet on the last Thursday of each month with a speaker, or focus for discussion, and will aim to support each other, local families and our community. Please join us.
Exploring Christianity
There will be a group for adults interested in exploring the Christian faith to be held in Wrenthorpe, beginning in September.
It’s a safe space to ask questions and find out what it’s all about without commitment.
It’s particularly helpful for people who might be thinking about baptism or confirmation. For more details, please contact Revd Diane

These are held on the 2nd Saturday of every month and are a great place to enjoy a chat and some lovely refreshments including bacon sandwiches. We also have a raffle, tombola, and more. Local councillors are also available from 10.00 am for anyone who would like to chat and raise any local issues.
