It is September again and God is still the same God, He does not change.

Verse of the week
Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know
Jeremiah 33:3 (God’s telephone number 333 )

Thoughts
At the start of a new school year, many tots, children, young people, adults, will be walking on unknown paths. Starting nursery, school, big school, college, university, a new job the list is endless.
I read a story recently about a seven year old boy who called the number for emergency help. The 999 operator answered. “I need help ,” said the boy. “I have to do hard sums.”
The kind operator proceeded to assist, until he heard a woman enter the room and say. “Johnny what are you doing?” He replied “ you told me if I ever need help to call 999. I needed help with my hard sums, so I did what you have told me. To Johnny this was an emergency. To the compassionate call handler, quickly helping Johnny with his homework was worthwhile in that moment.
What a lovely story that is.
When we need help, we can call upon our Father God to help us, He is always listening to the heart cries of His children. Do you need help? Call to Him and He will answer you.

Exploring Christianity
There will be a group for adults interested in exploring the Christian faith to be held in Wrenthorpe, beginning in September.

It’s a safe space to ask questions and find out what it’s all about without commitment.

It’s particularly helpful for people who might be thinking about baptism or confirmation. For more details, please contact Revd Diane
