St Peter\u2019s Church is very proud to support Donna in her\nLondon to Amsterdam cycling adventure in August 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Donna Hawley is an adult instructor for the Army Cadet Force\nin Yorkshire N&W and has completed many fundraising activities including\ntandem skydives, brave the shave, walking home for Christmas (168 miles in 4\nweeks), Liverpool to Leeds in one day and London 100. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year she is facing one of the toughest challenges she\nhas ever faced by cycling from LONDON TO AMSTERDAM in 4 days on the 7th \/ 11\nAugust 2024. The original plan was to cycle London to Paris but it had to\nbe changed as there weren\u2019t enough riders. However, when a place on the London\nto Amsterdam ride came up, Donna jumped at the chance. She\u2019s had to\nchange all her travel arrangement and will be cycling with a group of people\nshe doesn\u2019t even know!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She will be biking nearly 300 miles over the 4 days,\nclimbing around 6,000 ft (including about 4,00 on the very first day!). \nIt will an incredibly tough challenge, both mentally and physically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Donna is based in Stanley, and through this bike ride, is raising money for several different local charities, as well as for the Army Cadet Force.\u00a0 She is very keen that St Peter\u2019s Church and other local organisations benefit from her efforts!\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
