The board has text about the history of St Peter’s Church and its important role in Stanley life. Many Stanley residents will cherish memories of being married there and watching their children being christened, and it is of course a place of memorial for those we have lost in our community. The design of the board was a collaboration between Stanley Residents Group and the church and we are very grateful for generous funds contributed toward it. We hope it is a fitting way to mark the Church’s 200 year anniversary next year. We are very excited to announce :

The Stanley Heritage Trail will be launched on Saturday 21st October
10am-12pm at St Peter’s Church on Lake Lock Road

We very much hope that you will join us to celebrate Stanley’s wonderful and varied history.
