{"id":1251,"date":"2019-05-08T19:58:48","date_gmt":"2019-05-08T19:58:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nwbchurches.org.uk\/stanley\/?p=1251"},"modified":"2025-06-28T19:32:57","modified_gmt":"2025-06-28T19:32:57","slug":"licensing-of-rev-glenn-coggins-6th-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nwbchurches.org.uk\/stanley\/licensing-of-rev-glenn-coggins-6th-june\/","title":{"rendered":"Licensing of Rev Glenn Coggins &#8211; 6th June"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Welcoming our new vicar!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are looking forward to welcoming Rev Glenn Coggins as our new vicar at the beginning of June.\u00a0 Rev Coggins has been appointed as the vicar of Stanley, Outwood and Wrenthorpe and priest in charge of Alverthorpe and will be licensed as lead vicar for our United\u00a0Benefice at 7.30pm on Thursday 6th June at St Paul\u2019s, Alverthorpe\u00a0 His first service at St Peter\u2019s will be at 10am on Sunday 9th June.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the past year of interregnum, we have been very fortunate that our fantastic team at St Peter\u2019s has kept things going: thank you to Rev David Teece, our readers Vicky Wilson and David Greenwood-Haigh, our churchwardens, the PCC members and all our volunteers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will be aware that the sale of the vicarage in Stanley is\u00a0progressing.\u00a0 The building is not in a great state structurally and due to the high cost of repairs the Diocese took the decision to sell the property.\u00a0 Rev Coggins will be living in Alverthorpe vicarage initially, but there is a commitment to purchase another vicarage in Stanley and St Peter\u2019s PCC will continue to push for this.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcoming our new vicar!
